In the evening time, The river is calm
The water is calm too, But don't stay awake
It's not at all safe, Don't wake up in the night

If you hear a bark, Out there in the dark
Don't wake up in the night
Because there's a host, Who ll catch you and roast you
Or probably post you, Or make you butter and toast

So better not stay in the dark late
Otherwise you know I needn't say
