A
Land Far Away
Beyond the dark and treacherous sea,
Far from the mortal realm,
There is a land so fair and free,
That none can overwhelm.
And in that land, some folk do dwell,
Without concern or care.
Their legends they do love to tell,
Of champions most rare.
Pixies drink nectar from wild flowers,
Elves eat sweet honeycomb,
They bathe in sunny April showers,
But never stray from home.
Yet happy as these wee folk are,
There is a dark side too.
Amid the good it's never far,
And fighting to get through.
Terrible thoughts and terrible deeds,
Ill works of an old hag.
She pushes to fulfil her needs
The good folk down she'll drag.
You may be wondering where this is,
Where good and evil are bred.
We all have one, where battles are fought,
Why, it's my conscience in my head. |
